Here at k10conceptions we are serious about bringing you the very best in children's literature. Our stories engage young minds and encourage creative thinking, imagination, and good wholesome fun!
We have teamed up with various artisans to provide the children in your life with the opportunity to enjoy a multisensory story time experience. Our resident illustrator, David Overholt, has created fun coloring and activity pages that pair with your children's favorite k10conceptions story books. We have also partnered with Heart Felt, a maker of handmade felt finger puppets, to develop puppet sets that corrspond with some of our stories. Sold exclusively on Etsy.
KRISTEN ITEN
As founder of k10conceptions Publications, Kristen works tirelessly to produce high quality children's literature. As a child she experienced firsthand the wonder that is a parent reading to their child. Now as a mother herself, she is committed to providing unique stories that parents around the globe use to build lasting family memories of their own.
Kristen started her writing career as a freelance writer. Most of her time was spent writing informative nonfiction content. “That was pretty unfulfilling on a creative level,” she remarked. “There was the satisfaction of a job well done when I would finish a piece, but as a whole, the job became such drudgery that I began to question whether or not I even enjoyed writing.”
She soon realized that she was writing the wrong kind of material. “When I switched over and began to write from the imagination, things really began to pop!” Kristen is now a successful author with several children’s books awaiting release. She manages k10conceptions and is working to build a vibrant community on facebook that supports parents in their efforts to find creative and developmental playtime activities for their children.

DAVID OVERHOLT
Our resident illustrator, David, works closely with Kristen to create a captivating visual experience for our readers, young and old alike. He has considered himself an artist ever since he was old enough to hold a crayon in his hand. Art has been a constant friend throughout his life. He uses all of his years of experience in art and graphic design to develop memorable characters and spectacular scenery for our books. He loves to illustrate character driven stories that have a silly twist. Looks like he’s in the right place!

Technology today allows us to make connections with people that would have never been possible in years gone by. Our connection with Heart Felt Craft is a perfect example of that. Based in Bath, England, this unique crafter produces on demand finger puppets and other items. All items are handmade! All patterns are original! That's what we call creative.
Heart Felt Craft has agreed to team up with k10conceptions in producing felt finger puppet sets that go along with some of our story books. Thanks to a set of nimble fingers "across the pond" children will have the opportunity to act out their favorite story books. Little ones will develop fine motor skills, learn to retell stories in sequence, and even create stories of their own. Children can participate in story time on a whole new level! We are happy to welcome Heart Felt Craft to our team of creative minds.
